Judy Brady “I Want a Wife”
Summary:
In this essay Judy explains
what she feels is expected of a wife. From domestic chores and responsibilities
to fulfilling sexual needs, and to not have needs of their own. And states that
anyone would want a wife if they do so much.
Christina H. Sommers “Men-It’s
in their Nature”
Summary:
This article is about how the
author feels the feminist movement has tried to achieve equality by trying to
force unreasonable change in the males of our society. That trying to change
the concept of masculinity has done as much harm as it has good, men are men by
nature. She feels that the results of cultivating masculinity would be much for
favorable then trying to change it.
For my analysis I choose “Men-It’s in Their
Nature”, because while I found both articles very interesting. I feel that I am
more familiar with the concepts in this piece. I am sure that “I Want a Wife” would make for a very
engaging analysis, but I choose the topic that I thought would I would enjoy
researching and writing about.

Good summaries about both articles. I am glad somebody has decided to write about "Men- It's in their Nature." I choose the other since I feel I can relate to that article more.

ReplyDeleteYour summaries could be a bit more elaborative. You also could include purpose of each article. The reason for your analysis is a bit vague. Be specific on where you intend to go with your analysis.
ReplyDeleteI think your summary on "I Want a Wife" could be a little bit more descriptive. Your summary on "Men It's in Their Nature" was more descriptive. Over all good job!
